Lead Negotiator
Guy Johnson is the founder and lead negotiator. Prior to establishing his negotiation advisory work, Guy was an executive and partner within a major global oil and commodities trading firm, operating in an environment where large capital, complex counterparties, and asymmetric information were routine. That experience shaped his understanding of how high-stakes commercial decisions are actually made — under pressure, with incomplete information, and with reputational consequences.
For the past six years, through his boutique consultancy BreakPoint Black, he has advised founders, commercial leaders, and senior executives across multiple sectors on negotiations where outcomes, relationships, and long-term positioning all matter. His work spans M&A, finance, property, construction, professional services, and complex commercial agreements, often where formal legal or brokerage channels are ill-suited to the realities of the situation.
